  • I taught at a NC magnet school for 6 years in a county that was predominately black. In the case of this school, it was white students being bussed in for diversity. Some of these students made the same one hour bus ride the student in the article made.

  • A taser is NOT the replacement for a firearm. It is an alternative to other non-lethal methods such as a baton or pepper spray to control an unruly suspect. Granny was more than unruly. She was outright beligerent and continued to disobey a lawful order from a duly appointed peace officer.

  • I'm am an adjunct faculty member at VT in the English department. When I heard about this I was completely floored! Of course being an adjunct member I had no say in the funding of this project, yet I voiced my opinion to the department heads to no avail.

  • The HOF is a joke. Still unbelieveable Rush isn't in, or Deep Purple and so many other bands that shaped and defined rock and roll. LL Cool J and rock and roll in the same sentence, are you kidding me? Same with ABBA.

  • Taught in schools??? Hey, I'm all for personal gun ownership. I'm a former US Army Ranger and I have no problem with responsible citizens owning and carrying concealed weapons, with the proper permits of course. But teaching students to fire weapons?? Ever heard of Columbine?
